The Kindle 2…Electric Boogaloo

Start shaking the couch cushions and cleaning the car for change, only 2 weeks until the Kindle 2 releases!

What is a kindle?

No it is not material for starting a fire…that’s kindling.  The Kindle 2 is the sequel to the Kindle 1, an e-reader.  Face it people, with Ed Begly Jr. letting everyone know about how humans are damaging the earth, and the other “go green” advocates out there (hereby refered to as “granolas”), we need to start doing some more green things to get them off our back.

Enter Kindle 2, this sleek digital reader brings a tear to any printer’s eye.  This bad boy is equipped with everything that a literophile needs…

The capability to download books in 60 seconds…60 SECONDS!

It has 16 shades of gray, an amazing step up from the Kindle 1′s 4 shades, and still puts paper books to shame!

The Kindle 2 has the capability to hold 1,500 books on it!  An amazing step up from our measly 2 hands that can only hold one each.

Plus the book prices are incredibly reasonable.  They offer short excerpts of books on the Kindle 2, and should you like what you read you can purchase that book instantly and keep enjoying.  New York Times Best Sellers, and New Releases are only $9.99.  Most fiction I purchase ranges from 10-15 bucks a pop, this is a huge savings!

It runs on a 3G network, no additional costs (except that of the book downloads) and no going to Panera or Starbucks for a signal.

No matter how much people want to resist it, e-books are the new way to go.  They are perfect for our “on the go” society, and help the enviroment (which might not make you feel all warm and gooey in the middle right now..but one day it will).  I know that I will be jumping on this train soon, and will work on writing stories for your e-readers.
