Landis and Pegg’s New Project!

According to Latino Review John Landis (American Werewolf in London, Animal House) is teaming up with Simon Pegg (Spaced, Shaun of the Dead) to tell the tale of the West Port murders.

In 1820 the only way Edinburgh Medical School could get cadavers for dissection was  via the Bloody Code, which stated that the only cadavers that could be dissected were those of executed criminals.  However, once the Bloody Code had been repealed, the schools were left with only two to three cadavers per year to work with.

Two Irish immigrants, William Burke and William Hare would stalk and kill unfortunate people who were out late at night, then turn around and sell their corpses to the medical schools, seventeen in total.

Getting John Landis back into what made him great, horror, and keeping Simon Pegg in fresh roles all the time makes me already have high hopes for this movie…what do you think?
