Did A UFO Collide With A Meteorite To Save Earth?

Russian scientist Yuriy Lavbin claims that a UFO helped save humanity in 1908 when it selflessly collided with a meteorite. This mystery, spanning one hundred years now, is starting too look like a very logical explanation to many who have pondered the origins of the devastating explosion that laid waste to vegitation and life for miles around.
Forty years after this explosion, scientists set up camp around the area where it occurred, and started scouring the rivers and land for any evidence. What they found was astonishing. Several unusual boards were found, some of them had odd drawings etched into them, and others had a hole as if to be strung and united on a chain. Ten have been found in all, and all are made up of ferrum silicate, and element only found in space.
A test was performed to attempt to etch images onto the quartz. Lasers were utilized that have the ability to cut metal into pieces…these lasers barely scratched the quartz board’s surface. For the moment, scientists theorize that, when the boards were placed in order, they served as a navigational map of sorts.
Was this an alien interfering with nature to stop our extinction? If it was, why are they so quick to save us, yet so slow to reveal themselves?
What do you think?
