Neverending Torture

New was released a few days ago that people want to re-make “The Neverending Story”, me being an avid fan (I’ve seen all three movies, yes even the third where Jack Black was the leader of the Nasties, and I’ve read the book) I am severely opposed to this.

First off, there never should have been a sequel, let alone the opportunity to make this a trilogy. If you can’t read the name it’s the NEVERENDING story. By making new ones, you admit the story ends…case and point.

Second, if I can’t see a movie about a boy who’s father doesn’t care about him form a bromance with a native american boy who has a voice as high as a woman and rides on a giant, furry, anamatronic dog thing I DON’T WANT IT!

Third, if anything I would much rather see a mini-series that holds more truthful to the book. Because, if you didn’t know, the film is actually only the first half of the actual book, and it explains why the story doesn’t end. In a mini-series (like Tin Man) you can really get into the characters of Bastian and Atreyu and all the other characters they meet on their journey.

Plus I have an idea for a spinoff show which I will post about tonight…I think everyone will love it.

So someone start a petition to stop this atrocity of a Neverending Story remake…or else we will end up with some crummy prequel.
